AOI Operator (Day and Swing Shift)

Description

PURPOSE:

Run AOI programs to programming standard to inspect boards and insure quality is built into all customer products

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Operate automated SMT equipment according to standard operating procedures and produce quality

products

 Provide real time quality feedback by bringing up defects as they occur to prevent excessive defects from

occurring and allow real-time problem solving

 Perform WIP and defect collection to provide traceability information for internal use as well as customer

needs

 Maintain documentation for set-up and daily operations

 Document and maintain quality records for machine operation and inspection results

 Perform machine set-up and cleanup according to documented procedures

 Perform minor maintenance as required to operate machines in an efficient manner

 Maintain a clean and orderly working environment

 Follow general machine safety procedures

KEY COMPETENCIES

 Skills to work with extremely small and / or fragile components and tools for extended periods of time

 Basic PC skills,

 Strong attention to detail

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Required

 Previous in-process or final inspection of

electronics

Preferred

 Knowledge of AOI processes and/or equipment

operation

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Required

 High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
